泰晤士報高等教育 -商業和經濟排名2019年 (The Times Higher Education Rankings, business and economics 2019)

麻省理工(MIT), 顧名思義以理工為主,但可以奪得Time Higher Education 2019 全球商業及經濟第一。泰晤士報高等教育商業和經濟學排名包括學科為:商業及管理、會計及金融、經濟學和量計經濟學。MIT以總體分數位居榜首,各項目指標顯示MIT在教學和引用方面排名第2,研究排第3,對行業貢獻排23,各項指標顯示其在教學和引用方面排名第2,研究排第3,對行業貢獻排23。 現在讓麗斯為各位拆解個中原因。

成立於1914年的Sloan商學院創建之初是以其經濟學及統計學為MIT的工程科服務。至今MIT早已發展為一所Multidisciplinary (眾學科) 學院學院,而且一般大學的學糸多數獨立運作,MIT 卻把各學糸視為一個 Organic  Whole(有機整體),MIT認為人們要了解所有這些領域及技能,才可以創造更新穎的想法及使其實現。MIT以其工程學的優勢,使Sloan學院可以應用到各種創新科技。

麻省理工的口號是“mens et manus,” 即是手腦並用,這思維方式也滲透到麻省理工學院所有課程的文化中,所以眾多學科課程中都設有Lab(實驗室),這 Action Learning (行動學習) 文化使教員及學生積極和外間公司推行他們的計劃及諮詢項目。

MIT有着非一般的師資及學生,學院提供很多跨學院的合作機會,提升學生全面知識之餘,同時培養學生的合作及冒險的精神,共同解決艱深的問題。MIT讓學生質疑現有系統,並創建新系統;你必須意識到的總有一天現有的遊戲會結束,所以你要學習將來所需的技能,做一些原創的事情。

註1:發展至今,麻省理工學院的Sloan商學院,與哈佛大學Stern,斯坦福商學院,賓夕法尼亞大學Wharton,芝加哥大學Booth,哥倫比亞大學商學院,西北大學Kellogg並稱為美國讀MBA最好的七大商學院。
