Students Life:

Life at Worcester Academyis full...and fulfilling. Middle School students arrive for the day and settle into a schedule filled with collaborative learning, creative expression, and energetic sport. Upper School students are preparing for college, and their days are filled with rigorous class work and study. Students make time for sports, the arts, clubs and community service.

Day students are joined in all activities by boarding students whose daily commutes are measured in steps instead of miles. Five-day boarders live on campus during the week and head home on the weekends. Seven-day boarders come from as close by as Connecticut and New York, and as far as Somaliland,New Zealand,Thailand and Brazil. In the end, it doesn’t matter where you’ve come from, or where you live. What does matter is the real-world preparation you’ll receive at Worcester Academy for where you’re going once you graduate.

A Worcester Academy education is characterized by attention to individual needs while fostering self-reliance as students mature as learners. We believe that the school draws its strength and character from the vitality and diversity of its students, faculty and local community. We also believe that learning does not occur solely in the classroom, but also takes place on the athletic field, the stage, in the dormitories and in the life of, and service to, the neighborhood and city of which we are a part.
