East Los Angeles College (ELAC) is a diversified two-year public community college and is the largest of its kind within the public community college in Los Angeles. After graduating, many students go straight to elite schools like California State University or UCLA, UCSD, UC Berkeley, and almost 100% are transferred to the University of California.

The school is located in downtown Monterey Park, 10 miles east of downtown Los Angeles near Chinatown. It houses an educational center, computer rooms, a bookstore, restaurants, library, and the famous Daya Da Vinci Art Museum, which accommodates up to 20,000 people outdoor (formerly 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games venues), auditorium theater with 1,500 seat indoor swimming pool and 16 tennis courts and so on. The school has an honors program and recognized by 9 different California and Washington State schools upon completion.
