Dean College

University of Wisconsin

“Life is all about making choices, and going to Dean was one of the choices that I never regretted making.

America is the land of freedom. Everyone has every right to choose what they want. It is very different from Hong Kong where there are restrictions in every aspect of your life. It is the nature of every living thing that when something is more constrained, the less potential energy it can give out. I guess my potential inner energy was untangled in America. The biggest transformation my mom saw is my time management and me being more dependable.

Studying at Dean is not just about achieving academic excellence or transferring to a prestigious school, but it’s also about how to strike a balance between work and play, and know when is the right time to do the right thing. Being responsible for myself was something that I have never done before in Hong Kong, but as a student studying in college, I am well aware of the fact that this is the last stage of education that I am gifted to. I am responsible for my future and my career, I do not have a second chance for correcting my mistakes anymore.

Dean College is a place where students can excel in their education, and nurture them to be reliable, self-disciplined and becoming a more mature person.”
